Just when TNA seems to have something solid going, they kick themselves in the rear, hard enough to clip the back of their testicles. MVP’s heel turn is eerily reminiscent of the recentWWE storyline with Triple H and Daniel Bryan, while the new Mike Knox faction, The Menagerie, feels like The Oddities, meets The Wyatt Family.
While the action in-ring competition was solid, the storyline development was a mess another example of the incompetence of TNA’s Creative team.
Matches:
Evening Gown Match: Knockouts Champion Angelina Love and Velvet Sky vs. Brittany and Madison Rayne: After Love and Sky double-teamed Brittany to eliminate her, Rayne worked over Sky to strip her out of the match. Just when it appeared Rayne had the match won, Sky came back and apparently showed the referee her breasts. With his back turned, Love pulled off Rayne’s dress for the win.
Kurt Angle vs. Ethan Carter III: Angle dominated with various suplexes, but his knee “blew out.†Obviously weakened, Carter continued to work on Angle’s knee and eventually got the pin.
Ladder Match: TNA Tag Team Champions Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards vs. Robbie E. and Jessie Godderz: An awesome, but short ladder match that saw the Wolves take out the interfering Zema Ion with a Backbody Drop off the top of the ladder to take out The Bromans on the outside.
Frank Kazarian vs. Mike Knox w/The Menagerie: The new-look Kazarian has fallen down the card after forming one of the coolest duos in TNA history with Christopher Daniels a few years ago. Not nearly as dominant as he used to be, Kazarian seemed petrified of Knox’s sideshow freaks. With little effort, Knox beat Kazarian with a version of the Sit-out Powerbomb.
Magnus w/Braham vs. WIllow: Magnus was solid, but Willow was n control. Luckily for Magnus, Braham took Willow out on the outside to get the match thrown out. After the bell, he hit a modified Fisherman Suplex for the exclamation mark.
