NXT Power Rankings: Just Blah

Three filler matches and a decent main event that was ruined with a predictable and silly heel finish, this week’s NXT could only be enjoyed by fans that are just happy to be in front of the television.

Check out this week’s NXT Power Rankings to see who made the most of a sub-pr episode of NXT.

Honorable Mention: Summer Rae: It looks like the WWE wants to shove Summer Rae down their viewers collective throats. In a feud with Layla on RAW and Charlotte on NXT, Rae is a busy gal. That doesn’t mean she’s exactly thriving though. Needing more time in the ring and on the microphone, Summer has potential, but it won’t be realized until she develops her in-ring game a bit more. That’s what this crazy schedule is all about.

5: CJ Parker: This kid, like Summer Rae, has been shoved down NXT viewers’ throats for months and his feud with Xavier Woods is a complete waste of time. His Swinging Standing Side Kick finisher as well is anything but special and between that and his annoying mic work, he’s running out of options.

4: Bull Dempsey: After another win, Dempsey continues to prove he’s an old-school brawler with potential. His vow to win the NXT title is an intriguing one as well.

3: Tyler Breeze: The fact that he was announced by the ring announcer, but didn’t appear on the show in any way, is a testament to how poor the writing is on this show. Simply put, Breeze needs to be on the show more.

2: Sami Zayn: In NXT purgatory, Zayn needs to make the jump to WWE as soon as possible. While NXT Champion Adrian Neville at least gets some scraps, wrestling RVD a few weeks ago, Zayn hasn’t been able to face anyone he can really show his skills against in quite some time. Simply put, he’s too good for NXT.

1: Adrian Neville: Like Zayn, Neville has hit a wall, but unlike the former El Generico, Neville’s offense is all high-flying and on the WWE, he’d be over exposed. While in NXT, Neville needs to develop his arsenal more and become a little less flashy. The fact that he’s allowed to wrestle the same match every week hasn’t helped him much either.
