The New York crowd continues to revitalize the TNA brand as a wild Impact that featured a rare match between the Hardy Boys and Team 3D topped the show.
Check out this week’s TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings to see what other surprises occurred in the last episode of Impact Wrestling before Hardcore Justice.
Honorable Mention: Low-Ki: He may not be in TNA all the time anymore and it may be difficult to find out where and when he’s performing, but when he’s in the ring, Low-Ki brings it. His win over Homicide last week on Impact puts him in a spot to challenge for Samoa Joe’s X-Division title. Win, lose or draw, Ki will make Joe earn every drop of sweat during the match.
5: Ethan Carter III: He didn’t even have to wrestle this week to piss everybody off. The best heel in TNA today, Carter needs to get back in the ring to capitalize on all of the heat. Aunt Dixie’s days in TNA may be numbered for now, but Carter’s are still just beginning.
4: Kurt Angle: Impact Wrestling’s General Manager has done a great job getting the fans excited and while his future with the company is still up in the air, he’s continued to make himself a more than useful and valuable member of the TNA roster. Regardless, they need to find a way to get him healthy and back in a ring in one way or another.
3: Samoa Joe: The reigning X-Division Champion is cocky as ever and we love it. His match with Low-Ki this week on Impact will be an awesome match and one that continues to show that Samoa Joe is one of the best performers in Impact Wrestling.
2: Gail Kim: She continues to prove every week that she’s the best female worker in the business. Now that she’s taken care of Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, a match with Taryn Terrell is almost a no-brainer.
1: Team 3D and the Hardy Boys: The thought of these two tag teams having one more match was pretty awesome and both teams didn’t disappoint. With their singles careers lacking real momentum, it would make sense for both teams to find a way to get in the Tag Team title mix. The Wolves are no slouches and a three-way match would have Match of the Year possibilities.
