The Brock Lesnar era has begun after a wild match with John Cena at Summerslam, but why was this week’s RAW such a bore?
With a huge card, but no real storyline development, there wasn’t much to get excited about.
Check out this week’s RAW Power Rankings to see who excited us the most in a lackluster episode of RAW following Summerslam.
Honorable Mention: Antonio Cesaro: He may have done it the dirty way, but Cesaro’s win over Jack Swagger was a much-needed one. With some momentum on his side, can Cesaro get back in the Intercontinental or United States title picture?
5: Rob Van Dam: Two wins in a row for the high-flying legend put RVD on our Power Rankings for the first time in months. Although he’s not the guy he once was, Van Dam still has the full support of the fans and can be a more than serviceable talent in the middle of the card.
4: Goldust and Stardust: These guys appear to finally be getting their push in a tag team division that’s severely lacking personality. An abundance of weirdness and charisma, all the brothers in paint need is a cool double-team finisher and there’s nothing stopping them from winning the WWE Tag Team titles.
3: AJ Lee/Paige: This is probably the best feud in the company right now, especially with Brock Lesnar beginning his reign of dominance in the WWE World Heavyweight title devision. Equally matched and focused on being champion, these two Divas are both something special.
2: Seth Rollins/Dean Ambrose:Â Make no mistake, this is a battle between two future WWE World Heavyweight Champions. Taking their feud to the next level this week on RAW, the two got hardcore. How do they top it next week?
1: Brock Lesnar: The new WWE World Heavyweight Champion didn’t say a word when he was given the newly-designed title- he didn’t have to. With Paul Heyman by his side, the industry’s most devious and charismatic manager, did plenty of it. With The Undertaker and John Cena vanquished at the hands of Lesnar. Heyman and his client can do whatever they please. While his title defenses will most likely be sparser than Cena’s, Lesnar appears ready to begin his own era of dominance.
