Review Fix chats with Director Matthew Bonifacio about his latest feature “The Quitter.†Bonifacio talks about his upbringing and how his aspirations of becoming a professional baseball player fueled the story of “The Quitter,†which followsa former baseball prospect, Jonathan (played by Bonifacio), who left it all behind and is shocked to see his former sweetheart Georgie with a seven-year-old daughter—a daughter that is his. Jonathan begins to take his daughter out and what follows is a story of redemption and parent-child relationships.
“The Quitter†opens in limited theatrical release September 12​.
