WWE RAW Power Rankings: Rollins and Authority Continue to Thrive

Don’t let the mega-sized card fool you.

From wrestling bunnies to meaningless divas matches, this was the last thing anyone expected to see after a drama-filled Night of Champions. While Seth Rollins, John Cena and Dean Ambrose entertained, there was too much fluff otherwise.

Check out this week’s RAW Power Rankings to see who made the most of their time on-screen in a tame episode of RAW following Night of Champions.

Honorable Mention: Goldust and Stardust: Fresh off their win at Night of Champions, The Rhodes brothers continued their eclectic ways in a six-man tag with Cesaro against the Usos and Sheamus. While the match was more entertaining filler and didn’t do much to establish the new champions as dominant, expect Stardust and Goldust to help start a new tag team era in the WWE.

5: Dolph Ziggler: Less than 24 hours after he was cheated out of the IC title, Ziggler won it back the same way he was screwed. One of the best workers in the company, Ziggler needs feud with someone other than The Miz in order to bring back the legitimacy of the IC title. A working man’s champion, he’ll do exactly that if given the right opportunity.

4: Alexander Rusev: He’s mowed down everyone who has stood in his way and still doesn’t have much to show for it. An indication of what the company thinks of him or simply his slow climb up the ladder, Rusev is beginning to establish himself in the promotion’s deep mid-card.

3: Dean Ambrose: Although some of his promo felt forced, Ambrose was solid on the microphone this week and certainly fit in alongside John Cena in a battle with The Authority. Although it appears he won’t get his match with Seth Rollins right away, the fans love of his wild persona and a boatload of potential in and out of the ring make him someone who will play a huge role in the promotion moving forward.

2: Seth Rollins: Make no mistake, Rollins is going to get his rear-handed to him eventually, but for the time being, he’s carving an awesome niche as an up and coming heel. While he’s not quite WWE World Heavyweight title material ready just yet, a few more matches with John Cena and Dean Ambrose will certainly help with his credibility.

1: John Cena:Continuing to find ways to stay revenant without the WWE World Heavyweight title, Cena continues to be the uber fan favorite, even if the 30-somethings of the WWE Universe are sick of him. Tough as nails and ready to teach Seth Rollins and The Authority a lesson, Cena still has plenty of stories left to tell.
