Impact Wrestling Coverage: Great Wrestling, But Not Enough to Bound Us For Glory

Five solid matches, including one insane Main Event made for an entertaining episode of Impact Wrestling, but one that didn’t send viewers away eager to see Bound for Glory.

With no challengers for the Tag Team titles in the wings and little else to get excited about outside the ring, Bound for Glory’s card wasn’t hyped enough. Considering the fact that the card wasn’t that good to begin with and it’s easy to see that Impact Wrestling has dropped the ball badly here.

Matches:

No. 1 Contender’s Match for the Knockout’s Championship Angelina Love vs. Taryn Terrell vs. Madison Rayne: After a Terrell Cutter on Love, Rayne swooped in and got the win with a Rollup and a nice handful of tights. After the match, Havok hit the ring and took out Terrell with a Chokeslam.

James Storm and Sanada w/ Manik vs. Low Ki and Tigre Uno: This was a wild one that ended after a Green Mist from Sanada and a nasty Storm Super Kick.

No Disqualification: Samuel Shaw vs. Bram: This was a rough one, but Shaw couldn’t lock on his signature submission and instead Bram finished him off with a steel cable to the head. After the match, Brittany came out to console Shaw.

Bobby Roode vs. Kenny King and MVP: This one got wacky as Earl Hebner ejected MVP from the match and Lashley’s interference gave Roode the win. After the bell, a Lashley Spear on Roode made sure their angle continues.

Full Metal Mayhem: Bully Ray and Devon vs. Matt and Jeff Hardy vs. TNA Tag Team Champions Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards: An Edwards Powerbomb through a table allowed Richards to climb the ladder and win the titles, but the destruction that ensued on the way there was nothing short of awesome. From tables to ladders and plenty of chairs, this was one of the best matches on Impact this year.
