WWE® Superstar Roman Reigns™, Divas The Bella Twins™, Billy Dee Williams, Adam West, Burt Ward Also Headline Pop Culture Festival At Reno-Sparks Convention Center
Norman Reedus (“The Walking Dead, Boondock Saints), William Shatner (“Star Trek,†“Boston Legalâ€), Jewel Staite (“Firefly,†“Stargate: Atlantisâ€), Bruce Campbell (Army of Darkness, Evil Dead), Billy Dee Williams (Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Brian’s Song), Adam West and Burt Ward (“Batmanâ€) and WWE® Superstar Roman Reignsâ„¢ and Divas The Bella Twinsâ„¢ are among the celebrities scheduled to attend the inaugural Wizard World Reno Comic Con, November 21-23 at the Cox Business Center. It is the final of 16 events scheduled in the 2014 series produced by Wizard World, Inc. (OTCBB: WIZD) and will also feature a top-drawer collection of well-known comics artists and writers and a variety of activities, exhibitors and special attractions.
Reedus, Staite and Campbell will appear on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 22-23; Shatner will attend on Friday evening and Saturday, Nov. 21-22; the WWE stars will attend on Saturday; Williams, West and Ward are scheduled for all three days.
Other notables scheduled include “The Walking Dead†stars Michael Rooker, Andrew J. West, Jon Bernthal and Scott Wilson, Alan Tudyk (“Firefly,†Wreck-It Ralph), Eliza Dushku (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer, True Lies), Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Rudy), Lou Ferrigno (“The Incredible Hulk,†“The King of Queensâ€), Jason David Frank (“Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangersâ€), Kevin Sorbo (“Hercules,†“Andromedaâ€), Walter Koenig (“Star Trek,†“Babylon 5â€), Sara Underwood (“Attack of the Showâ€) and the Boondock Saints duo of Sean Patrick Flanery and David Della Rocco.
Superstar comics creators scheduled to attend include Eisner Award Hall of Famer Neal Adams (“Batman,†“X-Menâ€), Ethan Van Sciver (“Green Lantern,†“Flashâ€), Phil Ortiz (“The Simpsons,†“Muppet Babiesâ€), Kevin Maguire (“Justice League,†“Batman Confidentialâ€), Michael Golden (“Hulk,†“Star Warsâ€), Arthur Suydam (“Marvel Zombies,†“Army of Darknessâ€), Ty Templeton (“Batman & Robin Adventures,†“JLAâ€), Ken Kelly (KISS album covers, “He-Manâ€), Pop Mhan (“DC Universe vs. The Masters of the Universe,†“Gears of Warâ€), Greg Horn (“Guardians of the Galaxy,†“The Avengersâ€) and Rob Prior (“Heavy Metal,†“Spawn the Impalerâ€).
Wizard World Comic Con events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels, cosplay, comics, toys, video gaming, television, sci-fi, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more. Wizard World Reno Comic Con show hours are Friday, Nov. 21, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 22, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 23, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Reno Comic Con is also the place for cosplay, with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans dressed as every imaginable character – and some never before dreamed – will roam the convention floor.
