NXT Power Rankings: In-Zayn

Powered by five entertaining matches and the beginning of new feuds, the latest episode of NXT was a decent hour of wrestling action.

Check out this week’s NXT Power Rankings to see what stars in the promotion are the most prepared to make the jump to the WWE.

Honorable Mention: The Ascension: Delivering another beat down on Hideo Itami this week, Konnor and Victor are now even more the hated heel powerhouse team. What took so long?

5: Tyler Breeze: Debuting a new submission finisher this week on NXT, Breeze used the Fujiwara Arm Bar to earn the win. While he’s not in the NXT title picture right now, he’s just a few wins away. With one of the best gimmicks in the promotion, Breeze, even at this point, could work on the lower card of the WWE.

4: Enzo Amore and Colin Cassidy: They are easily the best tag team on the mic in NXT. They can work too, but they need a double team finisher that backs up all the talking. If they can do that, they’ll be something special.

3: Simon Gotch and Aiden English: What they lack on the mic, they make up with excellent i-ring work, a double double-team finisher and a gimmick that they make work.

2: Hideo Itami: Although he hasn’t been let loose yet in an NXT ring, Itami continues to build steam in an angle with The Ascension.

1: Sami Zayn: Easily the #1 contender in NXT, Zayn proved himself in a smooth match with the much larger Titus O’Neil. Even in the loss, Zayn sold his heart out and made O’Neil look like a monster. With that, the only question is, when does Zayn get his title shot?
