Kathy Lee and Hoda’s appearance may have been for a good cause, the Susan G. Komen for the cure, but it ultimately deflated this week’s episode of RAW to the point of no return.
Well, that was until The Rock made his return and absolutely decimated Rusev both physically and on the stick.
Away from an awesome appearance from The Rock, the show was essentially a slew of filler matches and absolutely no suspense. With no Brock Lesnar, the WWE is void of drama, a roster full of upper-mid-carders and no humpers, no difference makers, no one to captivate, besides John Cena.
Matches:
Jimmy and Jey Uso and Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler vs. Cesaro and WWE Tag Team Champions Goldust and Stardust: A fun back and forth encounter that ended after Ziggler and the Uso’s triple Super Kicked Stardust and Jimmy finished him off with the top rope Splash.
Bo Dallas vs. Mark Henry: “The World’s Strongest Man†was once again in control, but Dallas was able to get the win via count out after Henry beat on the youngster and Dallas countered the World’s Strongest Slam and got back in the ring before the ten count.
Brie Bella vs. Summer Rae w/Layla: Bella’s arm was tied behind her back, but after a vicious knee, she got the win.
Jack Swagger w/Zeb Colter vs. Tyson Kidd w/Nattie Niedhart: Kidd used his wife as a distraction every time he could, but Swagger was able to get the win via The Patriot Lock.
El Torito w/Los Matadores vs. Hornwoggle w/Heath Slater and Titus O’Neil: The crowd booed and for good reason, this was a mess. El Torito got the win after the two rolled around the ring for a few minutes.
Paige and Alicia Fox vs. Divas Champion AJ Lee and Emma: Lee got tired of Emma’s dancing and walked out on the match, allowing Paige to finish off Emma with the Rampage.
The Miz w/Damien Sandow vs. United States Champion Sheamus: The Celtic Warrior was in control throughout, until interference from Sandow allowed Miz to steal the win with a Rollup and grab of the tights.
Dean Ambrose and John Cena vs. Seth Rollins, Kane and Randy Orton: After Ambrose left the arena earlier in the show, Cena was left all by him lonesome against the Authority trio. After Kane and Orton jumped in and took out Cena, the match got thrown out. After a Kane Chokeslam, Ambrose hit the ring with a Hot Dog cart. After spraying mustard and ketchup on Kane and Orton, he focused his attack on Rollins, which allowed Cena to Attitude Adjustment on both Kane and Orton while Ambrose threw various condiments and even hit Rollins to the groin with tongs.
Soon after, Triple H made the announcement that Cena and Ambrose would fight at Hell in a Cell for an opportunity to face Rollins. With the match made and Cena’s back turned, Ambrose took the first shot, nailing Cena with a Double-Arm DDT to end the show.
