A massive main event and a few solid matches made for a more wrestling-heat RAW that was more meat and less sizzle. Storyline is important and this week’s RAW missed the mark with too much grappling and now enough drama.
Check out this week’s RAW Power Rankings to see who has momentum on their side with just two weeks to go before Hell in a Cell.
Extra Credit: Alexander Rusev: Another win, another week for the up and coming star. Regardless, with a small arsenal of moves and a lack of charisma, how far can he got with this gimmick?
Honorable Mention: The Wyatt Family: The promos for Luke Harper and Erik Rowan have all been well done and has helped fuel the anticipation for their returns. What will they have in store for the WWE Universe? A safe bet is a whole lot of destruction.
5: AJ Lee: While Paige is a wonderful performer, Lee is still in a league of her own. No one in the Divas division is as complete a package as she is and because of that it’s becoming increasingly difficult to build a competent feud for her. Bottom line, it’s probably in the WWE’s best interest to let Paige develop and until then, let Lee carve her own path. For now that may hurt the division, but in the long-run, it’ll benefit both Divas.
4: Randy Orton: His win over Dolph Ziggler this week on RAW won’t restore his credibility, but it will help him get back into this storyline between Cena, Rollins and Ambrose. Still one of the most talented performers on the roster, Orton needs a big time face turn.
3: Seth Rollins: He’s got a big X on his back and the bad news is Randy Orton may be the one, not Ambrose and Cena, to take him out. The top heel in the company right now away from Brock Lesnar, Rollins needs a few convincing wins and fast. Otherwise , he’s just a little wiesel with promise.
2: Dean Ambrose: The fans love him and even with his new-less devastating Double-Arm DDT finisher, Ambrose is still a force to be reckoned with. Proving he can work with Cena, Ambrose’s stock continues to rise.
1: John Cena: Love him or hate him, he shows up every week to work and never calls it in. While it seems his WWE World Heavyweight Title chances will be limited as long as Brock Lesnar is champion, make no mistake. He is still the franchise player.
