With no Adrian Neville, Sami Zayn, Finn Balor or Hideo Itami in action this week, there wasn’t a whole lot going on.
Except for the first vignette for Kevin Steen.
Check out this week’s NXT Power Rankings to see who else managed to shine in a weak episode of NXT.
Don’t Forget: Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady: The promo work is better than anyone else- by a long shot. As a matter of fact, it’s better than most of the WWE performers. Far from slouches in the ring as well, they quickly took care of Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder this past week as well. With a feud with The Ascension possibly brewing, Amore and Cassady may have just took a big step up the tag team ladder in NXT.
Honorable Mention: Bull Dempsey: He wants to be NXT’s monster, but he may have to go through Baron Corbin first. This could get very interesting.
5: The Vaudevillians: They want a title shot and aren’t above embarrassing Sin Cara and Kalisto to get it. The number one contenders to the NXT Tag Team titles, it’s only a matter of time until they have the gold straps around their waists. Certainty the most polished of the NXT Tag Teams, they belong in the mix.
4: Baron Corbin: He continues to dominate everyone who stands in his way, but it appears Bull Dempsey isn’t a fan. Can Corbin and his impressive End of Days finisher take him to the top of the company?
3:Tyson Kidd: In the only decent match on this past week’s show, Kidd took CJ Parker to school and then challenged Finn Balor to a match next week. That’s definitely something to get excited about.
2: Sami Zayn: He wants a clean match with NXT Champion Adrian Neville and he has it for NXT Takeover on Dec. 11. As emotional as he gets, he understands that he’s too nice of a guy. Is a heel turn in the works? With his career on the line if he loses, does he have what it takes?
1: Kevin Steen: With his debut confirmed for 12/11, Steen is all set to make a big time splash on the NXT Universe.
