New Tag Team Champions and Samoa Joe relinquishing the X-Division title was more than enough drama for this week’s Impact. With other feuds beginning to heat up as well, the promotion has a few fires beginning to simmer.
Check out this week’s TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings to see what else happened on a fast-paced episode of Impact.
Honorable Mention: The Menagerie: They are not over, at all, but Crazy Steve continues to prove he’s more than a silly gimmick. Continuing to work hard in the ring, don’t take his win over Velvet Sky and Jessie Godderz lightly. His jumping Tornado DDT finisher is solid and he has much more potential than you think.
5: Eric Young: The former TNA World Heavyweight Champion showed newcomer Tyrus who the boss was in a come from behind win over the 350-pound monster. Still one of the most talented performers in the company, Young is a guy that doesn’t need a title to be successful and his involvement in the feud between Rockstar Spud and Ethan Carter III lends some much-needed credibility to it. The possibility of a feud with Bobby Lashley could be cool as well.
4: Bram: His promo for his match with Tommy Dreamer was short and sweet, but Bram continues to make his presence felt. As TNA continues to try and make Bram this generation’s Bruiser Brody, Bram continues to be a force in his own right.
3: James Storm and Abyss: The new Tag Team Champions have a ton of momentum and looked primed to take on the Hardy Boys. A jolt of energy in an already awesome Tag Team Division, things will get even cooler once The Wolves get a rematch and the relationship between Abyss and Storm is developed some more.
2: Austin Aries: He’s got a pair, you have to give him that. Aries’ double-count out with Lashley was a tough encounter this past week and proves we’ll see a lot more of these guys moving forward.
1: Bobby Lashley: He’s pissed and wants another title shot. Although it appears he’s not going to get it anytime soon, he’s still a dominant force that should not be ignored.
