With just two weeks to go before Survivor Series, you’d think the WWE would be a bit closer to ironing out the tradition five-on-five matchup, but everything is still completely in the air. With holes still in both teams, it’s still anyone’s guess who will end up where.
Check out this week’s RAW Power Rankings to see who made their presence felt during a rather mediocre and confusing episode of RAW.
Honorable Mention: Dean Ambrose: His feud with Bray Wyatt is one of the only in the WWE right now where both hero and villain are well-match both on the microphone and in the ring. A great situation for both competitors, an Ambrose win could get him right into the middle of either the United States or Intercontinental title pictures. At this point in his career, that’s exactly where he should be.
5: Dolph Ziggler: Cast in a similar light as Daniel Bryan once was, Ziggler is primed for a legitimate run as a face. His matches with much larger opponents are proof of this. Already a former World Heavyweight Champion, Ziggler’s best days are still ahead of him. But with Luke Harper on his tail, how much longer can he thrive?
4: Alexander Rusev: He’s not quite done with Sheamus, but with the help of The Authority, Rusev is more dangerous than ever. While the association between Rusev and The Authority doesn’t seem like a permanent one, it does appear to be an alliance with some serious short-term benefits for both sides involved.
3: Ryback: You gotta love how Ryback never officially joined The Authority and throughout the night, every member of the heel faction made it that much easier for “The Big Guy†to walk away from them. The writing of this guy’s character is so awful that it’s impossible to take him seriously, but either way, he appears to be an intriguing free agent.
2: Seth Rollins: It’s been a long time since a young performer was hated this much by fans? A wonderful heel and a top-notch worker, Rollins has the fans in the palm of his slimy hands. Add in one of the most devastating finishing maneuvers in the sport today and it’s obvious Rollins is being groomed to be something absolutely special.
1: John Cena: He continues to prove that he’s the most charismatic face on the show and until Brock Lesnar defends the WWE World Heavyweight title with more efficiency, Cena will continue to be the promotion’s franchise player.
