Predicting the Five Biggest Breakout WWE Performers of 2015

The WWE is a tough place to break through. Ask the countless guys who have enjoyed “pushes,” and nearly established themselves at the top of the card, to fall back down and never recover- Drew MacIntyre, Ted DiBiase Jr. and Zack Ryder being perfect examples. The case will be no different in 2015, as several young performers look primed to make their way up the card, but here are five performers that will get their first real push with the company and won’t go anywhere else but up.

5: Charlotte Flair: The WWE Divas division is weak. After AJ Lee and Paige, you have several performers with talent, that are missing the “It” factor. Nikki Bella may be gorgeous, but she isn’t the in-ring technique that Flair could be if given more than four minutes on RAW. After she drops the NXT title to Sasha Banks, another wonderful Diva in the making, expect Flair to get right in the middle of the Diva title picture.

4: Finn Balor: He’s got “IT.” With over a decade of experience in Japan, Balor has been ready to perform in the WWE for years, but like the other players on this list, he’s got to earn his stripes in NXT first. Although he’s stuck in a tag team with Hideo Itami, another guy that will make a huge impact in the WWE in the years to come, expect Balor and his “war paint,” to make a big-time splash in 2015.

3: Sami Zayn:
The current NXT Champion has been a fan favorite on the internet for years, but expect him to cement his presence on the NXT card again in 2015 with a great feud with Kevin Owens before he heads to RAW or Smackdown. While he’s not nearly as charismatic as CM Punk, his athletic movies will remind many of him and for that reason, in addition to his plethora of passion and heart, WWE fans that don’t watch NXT, will fall for him quickly.

2: Dolph Ziggler: He’s been held back for too long. His success over the past few pay per views is just a springboard for what’s to come. Although he won’t win the Royal Rumble, expect him to find another way to get into the WWE World Heavyweight title picture. No more in need of a sexy or loudmouth valet or a “heavy,” Ziggler will have his best year in pro wrestling in 2015.

1: Kevin Owens: Like Balor, you can only deny a guy with so much talent for so long. But with his in-ring chemistry with Zayn, Owens has the edge over Balor and will be the NXT Champion at some point this year. It also helps matters that he has a great T-shirt and a cool theme. Simply put, this guy is already WWE ready but will help solidify NXT’s presence on the WWE network before he and Zayn make it over to RAW or Smackdown.
