It’s kind of hard to top the excitement of NXT Rival, but this week’s NXT was anything but a letdown, featuring a solid card and plenty of storyline development and even a few shocks.
Check out this week’s NXT Power Rankings to see who surprised the NXT Universe with a surprise appearance and who looks to get a shot at the NXT Tag Team titles.
Honorable Mention: Rhyno: Wow. Talk about a shocker. In his return to the WWE, Rhyno jumped right into the thick of things in NXT by destroying Elias Sampson and quickly inserting himself into the life of NXT #1 contender Finn Balor. One of the most dominant performers to never win the WWE Championship, Rhyno could change the face of NXT entirely.
5: Colin Cassady and Enzo Amore: The best tag team on the mic in NXT, it appears Enzo and Cassady are finally getting their tag team push. With a win over the Vaudevillians this week on NXT as well, their stock has never been higher.
4: Solomon Crow: In another crazy appearance, Crow took out CJ Parker. What role could he have in the company? The crazy rocker NXT has lacked since the departure of Dean Ambrose, Crow has an automatic fancies and plenty of people that could get behind him.
3: Finn Balor: In his first promo as the #1 contender, Balor handled himself well, but he may have his hands full if Rhyno decides to play games with him. Regardless, Balor continues to push himself into an elite position in NXT and is ready to take on Owens at a moments notice.
2: Sasha Banks: In her first defense of the NXT Women’s title, Banks made quick work of Blue Pants. Beautiful, cocky and always prepared in the ring, Banks looks to put another notch of credibility on the increasingly important NXT Women’s Championship.
1: Kevin Owens: He’s not a player, but he crushes- a lot. Owens, is an unmistakable beast, a guy that has the power and skill to take down anyone in his path. However, can he have the same type of success against someone as hot as Finn Balor? After taking down former NXT Champion Adrian Neville this week on NXT as well, it appears, at least for the time being, that Ownes is in a league of his own.
