This episode of “Better Call Saul†was like a cat and mouse game that involved the Kettleman’s.
We get to see a bit of the sensitive side of Jimmy this episode along with his wise-cracking antics. Jimmy was busy trying to juggle a few cases at once while at the same time trying to make things right with Kim. Chuck is up to his same old antics, however, this time he finally leaves the house for a limited time. Mike finally puts the case of his deceased son to rest as he straightens his situation out with detectives Abbasi and Sanders from Philly.
There was no action in this episode, but there was character development that involved Jimmy. We do see his sarcastic and humorous side which drew many laughs during the hour, but we also saw a side to him that we’ve never seen before, compassion. His love for Kim is obvious and the favor that he does for her in making the Kettleman’s be her clients again is proof that he cares about her.
The best part of “Bingo†is the actual scene itself, when Jimmy is hosting bingo at the retirement home. There is nothing funnier than seeing the Jimmy McGill Bingo cards while the senior citizens try to find a match to the number called. Another great scene is when The Kettleman’s find out they were had by Jimmy after Mike pulls of his first heist by stealing their money. Jimmy’s sarcasm and insults towards Betsy Kettleman are utterly hilarious and are reminiscent to the Saul Goodman we are used to seeing on “Breaking Bad.”
