NXT Power Rankings: Sasha Bankin’ It

If this week’s episode of NXT proved anything, it’s that the promotion’s deep roster has entertain in a myriad of ways. Even without Sami Zayn, Finn Balor and Kevin Owens in the ring, the show managed to entertain.

Check out this week’s NXT Power Rankings to see which of NXT’s new faces stood out the most with the host of the promotion’s established stars.

Honorable Mention: Tyler Breeze: A win over Adam Rose gets Breeze some added momentum before he continues his feud with Hideo Itami. One of NXT’s most recognizable stars, Breeze is stuck in the middle of the card, with little wiggle room.

5: Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy: The reigning Tag Team Champions wasted no time in their most recent defense against the new team of Sawyer Fulton and DeAngelo Dawkins. Ready to take on Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady in their next feud, they’ll certainly have their hands full. However, armed with a solid double team finish and plenty of athleticism, they’re definitely in a position of power.

4: Baron Corbin: Another quick win is something to brag about for Corbin, but you have to wonder what his future is considering he hasn’t had a real opportunity to face top-notch talent. Rather than waste time squashing guys, Corbin needs to face NXT’s elite.

3: Sami Zayn: His promo this week set the scene for an eventual return where he takes on Kevin Owens. Looking for some “perspective,” Zayn will come back stronger than ever. Easily the best worker in NXT, his absence ironically doesn’t hurt the show considering how much talent there is on the roster. As a result, his eventual return will be a stellar one.

2: Charlotte Flair: In one of her better matches on NXT, Flair pushed Banks to the limit, but was unable to reclaim her gold. At the same time, Flair continues to prove that she is ready for a push in the WWE.

1: Sasha Banks: Even though she had to cheat to keep her title, Banks is easily one of the top female talents in the sport today. With NXT’s added focus on female wrestling, Banks is the perfect person to have leading the charge.
