Away from a decent main event and another appearance from Drew Galloway, this past week’s TNA Impact was a waste of time.
Check out this week’s TNA Power Rankings to see who left this week with the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
Honorable Mention: Awesome Kong: Taryn Terrell called her out this past week on Impact and couldn’t even get her off her feet. While Terrell has the Cutter and a ton of resolve, Kong is easily the most dominant Knockout in TNA history. At the same time, like Gail Kim, Terrell will fight her every second of the way, making for an awesome match for the Knockouts title.
5: Rockstar Spud: TNA’s version of Spike Dudley, Spud hit the Underdog on Tyrus to help earn him and Mr. Anderson a win over rivals Ethan Carter III and Tyrus. With a shot at the X-Division in hand as well, Spud is slowly, but surely becoming a fan favorite in Impact Wrestling.
4: Ethan Carter III: Showing more fire on Impact this week than he ever has before, Carter is one of the most hated and dangerous heels in TNA today. With the massive Tyrus by his side as well, he shouldn’t be taken lightly.
3: Austin Aries: While it wasn’t his best match with Samoa Joe, it was a good one that saw Aries use several awesome moves before the win. Although the Beat Down Clan took care of Aries after the match, taking away any shot Aries had at cashing in his briefcase, Aries remains one of the top contenders for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
2: MVP: Another loss to Lashley hurts MVP and the Beat Down Clan’s credibility. Simply put, after a year of talk and the formation of a new faction, MVP still is without the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
1: Bobby Lashley: Thanks to the help of Drew Galloway, Lashley held on to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. While the BDC, as well as Austin Aries is still looking for an opportunity to steal his title, Lashley continues to dominate in any way that he can.
