When the chefs went downstairs this episode Ramsay was waiting for them partway and told them to stay quiet. In the dining room the “UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music” orchestra was playing a symphony. They were here because “Hell’s Kitchen” was holding a special concert and the chefs had to prepare a small plate lunch for all the guests.

T made butter-poached lobster, Michelle made pork and beef meatballs, Meghan made lamb lollipops, Nick made peanut chicken skewers and Milly made Cajun shrimp hush puppies.

Each diner picked which dish they liked and which they didn’t like. The lowest scoring dish was T’s with only 3%. 3% means her dish was really not that amazing, and she made lobster. The highest-scoring dish was Milly’s with 55% the votes. Think about it, everyone made these high-end dishes and the one with the most votes was hush puppies.

His reward was a helicopter tour of Los Angeles. Ramsay also told him that he can choose one chef to join him. He chose T. For someone who’s afraid of heights T sure didn’t act like it in the helicopter.

As for the other chefs, they had to separate and grind peppercorns. There really isn’t much to say about the first half of this episode. It just went through all the motions without any hitches. Dinner service, on the other hand, had quite a few hitches. What made it worse was that this episode was where each chef had to act like Ramsay’s sous chef while Andi and James took the night off and dined in “Hell’s Kitchen.”

Milly was the first sous chef. Here he noticed Michelle’s scallops were raw on the bottom. He did a pretty good job at it. He is a lot better than people make him out to be. Starting at Michelle’s turn, however, Milly took a few steps backward. He first undercooked scallops. Scallops would continue to be the bane of his existence when he brought one up with a lot of liquid in the plate. After that he made another overcooked scallop. This is something he should not be doing at this point.

The worst yet was Nick. His problem was with the Wellingtons. He first made an overcooked one, then two raw ones. When it was his turn T asked him where two lambs were and he said he didn’t hear it when it was called. The worst came when three Wellingtons were up and he not only had a few undercooked and cut, but the kitchen also ran out. Ramsay had no other choice but to have Marino ask the guests if they would like a salmon or halibut. That is the biggest mistake Nick made in this entire season.

At elimination, the chefs nominated Milly and Michelle for elimination. Ramsay had none of it and chose to talk to Milly and Nick with Nick getting eliminated.

It’s surprising that Nick got eliminated. He did so well so far and all it took was a bunch of Wellingtons, something these chefs cooked throughout the show, to make him get eliminated. With the final two being determined next week it’s pretty hard to say who’ll win this season.
