Five solid matches and plenty of storyline drama made for another week of Impact Wrestling that was just as good as anything on RAW. With three titles at stake, in aggressive matches, you’d be hard-pressed to ask for more from Impact Wrestling here.
Well, if you really wanted to, you could ask them to continue this pace on a weekly basis. But then again, beggars can’t be choosers.
Matches:
Six-Man Tag: TNA World Tag Team Champions Matt and Jeff Hardy and Davey Richards vs. The Revolution: Manik, Abyss and Khoya: A good back and forth with plenty of offense. The ending was a solid one as Abyss beat on Richards with a massive Chokeslam following a Double Stomp from the top from Richards on Manik. However, Abyss was unable to capitalize as Matt hit the Twist of Fate while Jeff nailed the Swanton Bomb for the win. After the match, James Storm beat on Abyss.
Ladder Match: Mandrews vs. Tigre Uno vs. Kenny King vs. X-Division Champion Rockstar Spud: This was an insane one filled with plenty of fun spots. Although Spud is a bit on the old-school corny side, he played to the crowd enough to keep them actively involved. Homicide played a huge role in the outcome of the match, hurling Spud off the top of the ladder, allowing Kenny King to win the X-Division crown.
Brooke vs. Knockouts Champion Taryn Terrell: Brooke worked her tail off in an aggressive match, but she was unable to thwart the plans of The Dollhouse. After a Flapjack, Brooke went for a Top Rope maneuver, but Jade threw her off, allowing Terrell to hit the Cutter for the win. After the match, Gail Kim and Awesome Kong hit the ring and vowed to take down Terrell and the Dollhouse.
Pipe on a Pole Match: Low Ki vs. Drew Galloway: Low Ki hit the Warriors Way and a ton of Kicks, but he couldn’t put Galloway away. After a Future Shock DDT, Galloway got the win and soon enough, both The Rising and the Beat Down Clan were fighting, again.
TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle vs. Eric Young (Non-Title): Angle had his moments, but after a pair of Piledrivers, Young proved he’ the #1 contender for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
