Despite a small card, what could have been a pay per view quality main event and more of Finn Balor set up a solid episode of NXT that continues to build for the future.
Check out this week’s NXT Power Rankings to see who else made a name for themselves in a thin, but solid episode.
Honorable Mention: Dana Brooke: She’s still green as hell, but it’s hard to deny how good of a heel diva she could be. All she has to do is continue to polish her in-ring game and she’s set.
5: Colin Cassady and Enzo Amore: Their win in a six-person match against the Tag Team Champions Blake and Murphy should not go unnoticed. They’ve been the best Tag Team in NXT in terms of potential and marketability for quite some time and it’s only a matter of time until they finally get the gold around their waists.
4: Charlotte Flair: Her win over KC Cassidy was an impressive one, but if anything, this win proves she’s main roster ready and deserving of a shot against Nikki Bella.
3: Finn Balor: The little documentary NXT ran this past week is proof that his push is just getting started, A star all over the world, way before he came to NXT, Balor is ready to be the performer Triple H and the rest of the promotion envisioned he’d be when they signed him.
Samoa Joe: He cut some good promo this past week and, of course, had a solid match against Kevin Owens. Although Finn Balor is the heir apparent to the NXT title, Joe has let the world know that he’s just as capable of holding that title as well.
1: Kevin Owens: Owens is beginning to show he can’t keep battling all comers forever. Until he loses the NXT title, however, he’s proven he is, by far, the most dominant champion NXT has ever had.
