TNA Impact Wrestling Coverage: Jarrett, Hernandez and Morgan Back, New X-Division Champ

For perhaps the third week in a row, Impact Wrestling was again the best wrestling show on Wednesday, as the in-ring action although not as strong as Ring of Honor, by far, featured the crowing of a new X-Division Champion, as wells appearances by Jeff Jarrett, Hernandez, Matt Morgan and Vader.

With more drama between Kurt Angle and Ethan Carter III as well, the scene is set for what appears to be a solid Slammiversary event.

Matches:

X-Division Championship Elimination Match | Low Ki vs. Tigre Uno vs. Grado: A fun back and forth where Uno and Ki did the majority of the heavy lifting after Low-Ki eliminated Grado with the Warriors way. After a few back and forth sequences, Tigre Uno hit the Frankensteiner from the top and then hit his Corkscrew 450 for the win to claim the X-Division title.

Velvet Sky vs. Angelina Love: A decent match that saw Sky win with strikes and a Stunner after she countered Love’s Botox Injection.

Round 4 (Best of Five Series) for the TNA Tag Team Titles: Full Metal Mayhem | Dirty Heels, Austin Aries and Bobby Roode vs. The Wolves Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards: Another great tag team match that saw Roode and Aries tie up the series with a low blow and a Rollup despite taking a massive beating from The Wolves.

Bram vs. Vader: Vader was solid here (hitting Clotheslines and a Moonsault) until Bram got the DQ after he nailed Vader with the spare turnbuckle bar. Continuing the onslaught, Bram looked unstoppable until Matt Morgan made the save.

Eric Young vs. Chris Melendez: You have to admire Melendez’s fighting spirit, but Young won with the Piledriver.

TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle vs. Matt Hardy: A solid back and forth that saw both competitors go through their arsenal of moves. After Hardy couldn’t put Angle away with a Twist of Fate, he went for the move again and this time, Angle countered and won with the Angle Lock.
