From the ashes of Money in the Bank came an episode o Money Night RAW that had to be one of the weakest of 2015. With only Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose truly standing out of the crowd, it was another night with a huge card, but nothing really to talk about.
Check out this week’s RAW Power Rankings to see who stood out in a lackluster episode of the WWE’s flagship program.
Honorable Mention: R-Truth: Two wins in a row could be a huge deal for Truth, who has struggled to find his way over the last few years. Although Wade Barrett ultimately got the last laugh this week on RAW, ˇruth is a seasoned and dependable worker who may have a few more tricks under his sleeves.
5: Randy Orton: You shouldn’t be surprised with his loss over Kane this week on RAW, thanks to Sheamus’ interference, but seeing him go after Sheamus earlier in the show was pretty cool, for now. While it’s not exactly when Orton wants to be, he’s going to have to get past Sheamus before he can firmly establish himself as a contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
4: Bray Wyatt: His promo work this week on Roman Reigns was chilling. While not many are looking forward to their feud, any time Wyatt gets a chance to cut promo is a good time.
3: Kevin Owens: His win over Dolph Ziggler and decimation of Machine Gun Kelly was another clear indication that Owens is WWE ready and is a prime situation to win singles gold. Currently on television more than any other WWE superstar in the promotion, Owens is quickly making a name for himself to anyone who’s been living under a rock for the past decade and doesn’t know who he is.
2: Dean Ambrose: On just one leg, Ambrose beat 2015 Money in the Bank winner Sheamus and is still in the hunt for Seth Rollins’ WWE World Heavyweight Championship. One of the most popular young performers in the company, Ambrose may not be ready for a run with the gold, but that doesn’t mean he can’t get a ton of TV time.
1: Seth Rollins: You can’t be mad a Rollins because WWE Creative is making a mockery of him. One of the best overall performers in the promotion, this tired and lazy, spoiled brat heel gimmick is getting old. Already proving himself against everyone in the WWE, Rollins needs to make a face turn or get more of a legitimate swagger so feuds with guys the likes of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose seem like a joke. Simply put, Rollins this matchup with Brock Lesnar more than anything else in the world right now. This is where he proves himself.
