Three matches, less context than ever before (the mention of their 199th episode was just ridiculous) and little to no storyline development made sure that Ring of Honor continues to appeal to only the biggest fans of the promotion.
Again, while the action was solid as ever, ROH continues to fail to bring in more fans by making their performers more than great wrestlers. With zero time for promo and no real surprises, this week’s episode was ultimately passable.
Matches:
Matt Sydal vs. Adam Page w/BJ Whitmer and Colby Corino: A solid back and forth that saw Sydal get the win with he Shooting Star Press in spite of content interference from The Decade. After the match, Corino and Whitmer beat on Sydal. ACH hit the ring to help, but the Decade continued to beat on both of them with chairs until Page hit the Reverse Piledriver on Sydal.
Silas Young vs. Will Ferrara: Young was distracted by Dalton Castle’s “boys†and Ferrara won with the Rollup. After the match, Young destroyed the party crashers.
Ring of Honor TV Champion and Ring of Honor World Champion Jay Lethal w/Truth Martini vs. Mark Briscoe w/ODB: Interference from the House of Truth and the Lethal Injection allowed Lethal to retain his title. After the match, Jay Briscoe and Lethal fought before Roderick Strong hit the ring to take out Lethal.
