TNA Impact Wrestling Coverage: ECIII New World Heavyweight Champion

With a new World Heavyweight Champion in Ethan Carter III, plenty of bouts in the mid-card and more Jeff Jarrett, this week’s Impact Wrestling was a must-watch. Although most of the action was in the ring, there’s was just enough intrigue and speculation. With Gail Kim returning and new Tag Team Champions as well, TNA continues to try its hardest to deliver a quality wrestling product.

Handicap Elimination Match; Losing Team Disbands: The BDC: MVP, Low-Ki, Kenny King and Hernandez vs. The Rising: Drew Galloway, Eli Drake and Micah: After Micah was eliminated and Drake injured his ankle, Galloway was left all alone. After Hernandez hit him with the Border Toss, MVP hit the Drive-By and the Playmaker to get the win and end the run of The Rising.

30-Minute Iron Man Tag Team Championship: Dirty Heels: Austin Aries and Bobby Roode vs. The Wolves: Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards: Aries got the first fall with a 450 on Richards, but the Wolves tied it up with the Force of Nature to tie it up and Edwards got his team the lead after he rolled up Roode countering the Roode Bomb. Pissed, Roode locked in the Crossface, but the clock runs out, allowing the Wolves to win the Tag Team titles.

Awesome Kong vs. Brooke vs. Knockouts Champion Taryn Terrell: The Dollhouse helped Terrell stay in the match and after a Cutter on Kong, Terrell retained the title in a surpassingly fast-paced match.

TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle vs. Ethan Carter III w/Tyrus: After Tyrus was ejected, Angle, who was dominant throughout, locks in the Ankle Lock, but ECIII manages to get to the ropes. Just when it appears Angle had the match in hand, going for the Angle Slam, Carter counters into a Rollup and stacks up Angle for the win.
