With just two weeks before Summerslam, this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW continued to build the drama across the card, ultimately creating a solid show that builds tensions even further. Simply put, a solid episode of Miz TV featuring Daniel Bryan and an awesome Triple Threat match at the top of the show’s second hour made up any of the RAW’s shortcomings.
The show ultimately centered on WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, who was in the ring at the start of the show and at the end. Even with John Cena off the show this week (he will be on Tough Enough this week however), still nursing a busted nose, Rollins was up to his old wiseass antics, but he almost bit off more than he could chew.
Away from the WWE World Heavyweight title picture, there was plenty of other things going on as well. With more drama in the Divas Division and more matches announced for Summerslam, more time spent on the Undertaker/Brock Lesnar match, this week’s episode of RAW was anything but a waste of time.
Matches:
Team Bella: Divas Champion Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox vs. Team BAD: NXT Women’s Champion Sasha Banks, Tamina Snuka and Naomi: The fans cheered for Banks through most of the match, but Brie Bella was the performer that really got cooking, thanks to some Daniel Bryan-inspired kicks and a Missile Drop Kick, until Snuka got tagged in and nailed Brie with a monster Clothesline. However, before Snuka could hit the Super Kick, Brie surprised Snuka with a Rollup to steal the win. After the match, Team BAD took out the Bellas, but once Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Paige (who were sitting singled) got involved, there was an offense-a-palooza before all three teams stared each other down.
