Five Great Costume Ideas For Video Game Fans

With Halloween just a few days away, here are five great ideas for hardcore gamers of all shapes, sizes and species? From Sonic the Hedgehog and other classic favorites to new fun favorites like Minecraft’s Steve, Review Fix Editor-In-Chief Patrick Hickey Jr. counts down five great costumes that are sure to nab you likes, retweets and what other adulation you’re looking for.

Sonic the Hedgehog (Dog Costume): This has meme written all over it. Perfect for smaller, spunky dogs, the costume fits snuggly enough that your pup will be comfortable in it and actually want to run around. All you need now is some rings and a YouTube star is born.

Princess Peach:
This is a classic. There’s nothing more awesome if you’re a gamer geek than seeing your girlfriend or wife dressed up as Princess Peach. Well, OK, Princess Leia, but in terms of video game characters, she’s one classy dame. Maybe, if you’re lucky, she’ll keep the costume on after trick or treating is over. Either way, you can’t go wrong with the pink dress and crown.

Mario, w/Yoshi: This is an awesome costume. Mario has been done to death, but this costume has an inflatable Yoshi that comes attached. There’s only one better way to pay respect to “Super Mario World” and that’s actually playing it. On Halloween, wouldn’t it be cool to do both?

Pikachu: You see this costume at Comic Cons a lot and that’s because it looks cool and it’s comfortable. For long trick or treat runs, this is a perfect costume for a smaller kid. To have even more fun with this, an adult Pokemon trainer costume would make for a perfect father/son combination.

Minecraft Steve: This one is mega easy. Simply a cardboard box, it captures the essence of the hit video game series and with some matching clothes, could be a great quick costume.
