Review Fix Exclusive: Amitis Talks ‘King,’ Snoop Dogg and Enrique Iglesias

Review Fix chats with international recording artist Amities, who discusses her recent collaborations with Snoop Dogg and Enrique Iglesias, as well as her new single, “King.”

Review Fix: What makes you unique?

Amitis: As a little girl from Iran who had been playing instruments and singing for as long as I can remember, what sets me apart is that the music industry isn’t just something I randomly decided to pursue. I have worked very hard to become successful as both an Iranian artist and a crossover artist.

Review Fix: How important is success in the United States to you?

Amitis: Incredibly important. The United States is not only such an incredibly progressive and understanding country, but you also are given the opportunity to pursue your dreams in a way that isn’t really possible in other countries. The USA is so progressive in the music industry, and to become successful in America would be a dream come true.

Review Fix: How was “King” written? Is there a story behind it?

Amitis: King was a project that came to mind while figuring out my crossover album. I always was a huge fan of Snoop Dogg and once I got know him personally, I wanted nothing more than to collaborate in a song with him. He is a very humble person and a genius at what he does. I enjoyed this project a lot, because we had a great time making the song and video. His talents are never-ending. I am so happy to have chosen him on my first crossover project.

Review Fix: Who are some artists you draw inspiration from?

Amitis: I love Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, Iggy Azaela. I love how creative they are with their music and their videos. They really inspire me!

Review Fix: What was it like to work with Enrique Inglesias?

Amitis: Working with Enrique was a dream come true. I have admired his music and his talent since I was a little girl. He is extremely professional and made the process very easy and relaxing for me. I can’t wait for our song to come out.

Review Fix: What was it like to work with Snoop Dogg?

Amitis: Snoop is one of the nicest, most genuine people I have been given the opportunity to work with. He too was extremely humble, nice and relaxing. We worked very well together, and he made the song amazing. I have listened to Snoop for as long as I can remember, and he exceeded all my expectations.

Review Fix: Bottom Line, why should someone listen to you?

Amitis: As someone who is working on becoming a crossover artist, I think my dedication to the music industry and my passion for music are just a few reasons why people should check out my work. I am extremely hard working and dedicated to making my music incredible for my fans.
