It’s hard to stump WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross. One of the smartest men in professional wrestling, he has a keen eye for talent and is someone who takes in more wrestling in a week than most do in a year. Now the spokesperson and an investor for the FITE TV app, which allows users to watch not only Global Force Wrestling, Ring of Honor and Impact Wrestling PPVs from their wi-fi-enabled phone, tablet or smart TV, Ross sees the professional wrestling climate changing in a big way.
“I think promoters are going to see us as a conduit to get their stars to a new audience,†Ross said. “It’s going to be a life saver for all of those small promotions that can now get on TV and get an i-PPV business going. It can help them not only fund their company but also get their stars noticed.â€
Ross also said the app has even educated him, showing him indie wrestling promotions he didn’t even know existed.
“I was shocked to see how many promotions are available on the app,†Ross said.

He also stars in Ziggurat Interactive’s World Championship Boxing Manager 2, where he performs the VO of nearly every male character in the game. He also worked on the Atari VCS’s BPM Boy.
