Coming April 9th, Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown, CA will become the epicenter of rock ‘n’ roll and van culture with the first annual DESERT GENERATORfestival. Produced by Rolling Heavy Magazine, Allnight Allnight and founding Kyuss member Brant Bjork, the event will feature a Rolling Heavy Van Show and performances by Red Fang, Brant Bjork and the Low Desert Punk Band, Acid King, Golden Void and Ecstatic Vision. Inspired by the legendary “generator parties†that made famous the seminal desert rock band Kyuss, and the campouts of the historic custom van craze of the 1970’s, DESERT GENERATOR is a new beast of a festival that celebrates free spirits, rock and roll, custom vans, fun times & a fat dose of that bitchin American lifestyle that brings this all to a head in the beautiful California desert. The event kicks off with the Rolling Heavy Van Show during the day featuring 1960s & 1970s custom vans with a trophy and prizes for each class. There will be Special Guest DJs playing classic rock and classic metal plus shopping from van goodies, vintage clothing, vinyl record & handmade goods vendors. Following the van show, five heavy, psychedelic rock bands will crank it up at Pappy and Harriet’s around dusk. The van show is free and tickets for the concert are $48.00.
