Review Fix Exclusive: Older Than Oceans’ Anthony Muhlig Talks ‘Hindsight Isn’t Always 20/20’ And More

Review Fix chats with Older Than Oceans’ Anthony Muhlig, who discusses the band’s standout single “Hindsight Isn’t Always 20/20.” as well as the band’s goals for the future.

Review Fix: How did the band get together?

Anthony Muhlig: We all met through friends and past bands we’ve all been in and out of. We all came together and loved the quick chemistry and progression and decided to stick with it.

Review Fix: What’s your creative process like?

Muhlig: When we write a song we like to start with instrumentals usually. We all love to jam for hours at a time so when we come up with something that sticks out we usually run with it. After we have a solid song together we get working on vocals. Usually by the time we step in the studio to record we add little finishing touches here and there.

Review Fix: What’s your standout song? How was it written?

Muhlig: Definitely “Hindsight Isn’t Always 20/20”. It was written in the style mentioned in the last answer but this one came out having such power and emotion, it really seems to be the fan favorite right now.

Review Fix: What are your goals for 2016?

Muhlig: We plan for a new release by this summer along with a lot of shows to promote it so be on the lookout!.

Review Fix: How do you want your music to affect people?

Muhlig: We just want people to listen to our music and be able to connect with us on a personal level and relate to past experiences we’ve all been through.

Review Fix: What’s next?

Muhlig: We have so much in the works for the road ahead! To stay up to date on all our exciting news just visit www.olderthanoceans.com.
