Nonstop Knight Initial Thoughts

After about 15 minutes or so of Kopla Games’ “Nonstop Knight,” you’ll realize it’s something special. Although the combat may seem lather, rinse, repeat at first, the unique leveling-up and ease of play make up for any shortcomings.

However, the coolest thing about “Nonstop Knight” is that it lives up to its word. Even when away, your little knight is still killing baddies, which for you is great because you’ll have plenty of cash to use to upgrade your character. That is probably the best part of the game. With repetitive combat, gaining new abilities and weapons instantly freshens up the game and makes it an addictive experience.

Visually, the cartoony graphics and top-down view also add another element to the gameplay experience. While it isn’t “Diablo,” it certainly has that feel. because of that, it’ll grow on you quickly. The gameplay experience isn’t hampered at all by the fact that you don’t directly move your character. As a matter of fact, you don’t even have to perform strike attacks- those are done automatically. The only thing you have to do is perform special maneuvers. As a result, combat and exploration are accessible and fun.

Thanks to a simple gameplay structure and plenty of streamlined polish, “Nonstop Knight,” at least through our first few hours, is approachable and enjoyable.
