Review Fix: What is Invasion Day?

Simon Spreckley: Invasion Day is a highly stylized, humorous mobile RTS  game that pays homage to classic science fiction like Mars Attacks and War of the Worlds. Players choose to play as the Martian empire invading earth or the Marines defending humanity against the Martian Attack. It’s Ray Guns, UFO’s and Tripods against Machine Guns, Tanks and Giant Robots in this classic sci-fi throwback.

Review Fix: What was development like?

Samuel Goldenbaum: It’s a big, ambitious project that we have been developing for almost 2 years now. It’s been an incredible experience to journey from conceiving characters, their personalities and unique skills through to seeing them living and interacting in-game.The team had so much fun conceptualizing for Invasion Day as it’s such a great genre and one we all love.

Review Fix: Bottom line, why must someone play this game?

Spreckley: We feel Invasion Day is an evolution of an exciting genre. With two factions featuring their own quirky infantry, vehicle and aircraft along with unique economies, there is a lot of game for players. We have focussed on fun, innovative features that aren’t currently available in other games to create a rich ecosystem with really cool PVP battle functionality all living in a fully immersive 3D world.

Review Fix: How do you want this game to be remembered?

Goldenbaum: As an epic title that continues to grow and evolve with its players over the years to come. To be remembered as that super-fun title that evolved the genre.

Review Fix: What are your goals for this game?

Spreckley: We’d like our quirky characters to work their way into the hearts of players around the globe as Invasion Day becomes a household brand…

Review Fix: What’s next?

Goldenbaum: For now we’re focussing on the players and responding to feedback as we improve features and fine tune balancing. We are excited to grow the Invasion Day universe and will continue to release new characters and gameplay regularly.

Review Fix: Anything else you want to say?

Spreckley: Get ready for the Invasion and pick a side!
