Review Fix chats with Aleksey Mikhasyuk, CEO, Zagrava Games, who tells us all about “The Hunt For Red Panda,†the awesome iOS game that takes art appreciation and casual gameplay to a brand new level.
Review Fix: What inspired this game?
Aleksey Mikhasyuk: The original idea came to us after we created a few “find the differences†puzzles based on real canvases. It seemed like an interesting concept at the time, so we decided to develop it further – until it eventually became The Hunt For Red Panda.
Review Fix: What was development like?
Mikhasyuk: It’s incredibly fun — especially for our artists. They were very enthusiastic about “spoiling†the masterpieces and even competed to see who did it best.
Review Fix: Who will enjoy this game the most?
Mikhasyuk: The Hunt For Red Panda can be appreciated by any art lover. It has a fun plot, lighthearted music score, and (of course) lovely paintings. Another plus: There are no vampires, werewolves or ghosts in sight!
Review Fix: What has development been like?
Mikhasyuk: The most difficult part was balancing (i.e., keeping the game fun). Believe it or not, balancing took almost as much time as the core game development!
Review Fix: Why should someone download it?
Mikhasyuk: Because you can experience hours of very enjoyable gameplay without hidden transactions, in-app purchases or ads. And it’s cheaper than a good cup of coffee :)
Review Fix: Any DLC planned?
Mikhasyuk: Yes, we’ve already created a number of additional art packs and levels. We can’t wait to deliver them to players — particularly those who may have already solved all the existing content …
Review Fix: What’s next for Zagrava Games?
We plan to publish at least three more games in 2016. They are all quite different from The Hunt For Red Panda. One is a fun runner, another is a ‘can-you- escape’ game, and the third one is a… big surprise.
