Review Fix: How did the band get together?
Mike Liorti: Rosedale is a solo project. I get different musicians from all over. We usually meet at shows/other bands.
Review Fix: What’s your creative process like?

Liorti: I just write whenever, wherever. Sometimes I write songs while I drive. Then I demo them out in my basement, record them in a good studio, get them mixed/mastered, then I put them into my live show and teach the parts to touring musicians.
Review Fix: What’s your standout song? How was it written?

Liorti: A song all different people seem to appreciate is an upbeat piano-based song called Written By The Artist. I wrote it at my upstairs piano one day when I was super bummed out about my longtime drummer quitting the band and nobody was giving my album, Real, the attention it deserved. I couldn’t help but think “what a terrible age in music we live in.”
Review Fix: What are your goals for 2016?
Liorti: My goals for 2016 are to get as many of my new albums into as many new hands/ears as possible and influence kids to follow their dreams.
Review Fix: How do you want your music to affect people?
Liorti: I want it to influence them to follow their dreams, think outside the box, express their vision to the world, and never give up no matter how hard things get.
Review Fix: What’s next?
Liorti: Probably a new van after this tour. More new songs, and the Rosedale Rock-umentary.
