Review Fix: When did the initial idea for this game come to you?

Gustavo P. Lima: The initial story came from my college friends. We are unhappy with the content given in class, so we decided to create a game to help us learn everything easier.

Review Fix: What makes this game special?

Lima: I think the game art and simplified gameplay. I employed many different types of artistic techniques here. And I’m working on gameplay that will remind gamers of the 16-bit consoles.

Review Fix: What games inspired this one?

Lima: Many games, but mostly 16-bit and arcade titles the likes of CPS & NEO GEO.
games like Super Castlevania, Skyblazer, Gunstar Heroes, Battletoads and Yoshi’s Island.

Review Fix: Lets talk about the in-game art. What inspired that?

Lima: Manga and NEO GEO games. The Japanese influence in Brazil is a huge one for me, while manga have been a part of my life since childhood. Even today I think NEO GEO styled- games are beautiful- I still find inspiration in them.

Review Fix: What has development been like?

Lima: Definitely one of the greatest challenges I ever faced. Making a game alone is very difficult. But I am slowly going forward with the project.

Review Fix: With all the competition on the mobile market and in the indies now, how difficult was it for you guys to try and make something that stood out?

Lima: I spent much of my time trying to create a gimmick for the project. But I think it is a mistake to seek it in the first game. First, you need to do the basics in an exemplary way. In the next game, I will try to create something totally new.

Review Fix: Who do you think will enjoy this game the most?

Lima: I think players fans of classic gameplay, retro gamers and enthusiasts of indie games.

Review Fix: Bottom line, why must someone play this game?

Lima: No doubt to fight the enemy characters, I put a lot of effort to create different opponents with each, a unique look.

Review Fix: How do you want this game to be remembered?

Lima: I want people to remember the characters and the challenge that the game provides. And that is was a well-made game.

Review Fix: What are your goals for this game?

Lima: I think that goal is to make a good game, it is my first “big” game. To make it “nice” is my focus. O course if the project does well financially I will be very happy too.

Review Fix: What’s next? Any DLC?

Lima: I have some ideas for a sequel or another game. However it all depends on the result of this. I do not like the current model of DLC. All game content will be in the game on day one.
