Squash matches galore and wedding parties ensured this week’s RAW was the weakest of the new era. Check out this week’s RAW Power Rankings to see who’s climbing up the RAW ladder with just two weeks before Summerslam despite the weak card and poor creative decisions.
Honorable Mention: Braun Strowman: Enough with the jobbers already. Over the last three weeks, Strowman has laid waste to three different indie performers. It’s time to get him a real opponent.
Thank You: Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson: With alway solid in-ring work and some witty promo, Gallows and Anderson prove they are the only team that can hold their own with the New Day.
5: Cesaro: Two wins over the last two weeks over former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus have continued to firmly establish Cesaro towards the top of the middle of the card. Make no mistake, Cesaro needs to be in some type of title consideration and soon. Don’t let his loss to Rusev tonight fool you- Cesaro will have gold soon.
4: Brock Lesnar: His match with Randy Orton at Summerslam is going to be a war, even if the vignette this week on RAW didn’t little to add drama to the upcoming battle.
3: Roman Reigns: His attempt to take the United States title away from Rusev and Lana has come at the perfect time. In need of a massive reset, Reigns’ demotion will allow him to get more work in and make sure the WWE Universe supports him when he gets another push for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship or WWE Universal Championship.
2: Finn Balor: What an awful vignette, this week on RAW, but it wasn’t his fault. Teasing that he’ll go with the body paint at Summerslam, Balor will bring his A-game.
1: Seth Rollins: He continues to cut the best promos on RAW and is without a doubt the face that runs the place- the type of heel you want to see get destroyed, but you know there isn’t a man on the roster that can. Although Balor is a wonderful worker, he doesn’t have the polish of Rollins, who forces the crowd to feel every time he’s in the ring or on the mic.
