Review Fix: How did you get started in music?
Ksenia: I started in music at a young age, when I was 6 years old my mom enrolled me in a music school. My dad always played guitar and sang, my mom would make me practice piano for hours. I would sing everywhere I went, I was a star in my kindergarten class.
Review Fix: What inspired this album?
Ksenia: The album is inspired by my life, my stories through my songs. It’s hard enough going through life, but it’s even harder when you’re an artist. Â It took a long time to write the whole album, most of the songs are about broken relationship, which I have had a fair share of. Â One of my fav songs on this album is called “forever” it’s about following your dreams and believing in yourself. Â I always wanted to have a song that i could listen to when I feel down. This is that song and after I listen to it, i am able to feel on track! Also, I really enjoy dance music, so I wanted to have a few tracks that would want to make you jump up and dance.
Review Fix: What is your creative process like?
Ksenia: The creative process is never ending. my brain is always working. If i am on a mission to create a song, first I think of an idea for the song, I envision the story I want to tell, then i write down the emotions I feel, and  bring it to my music producer.
Review Fix: What makes “Locked in the Dream” a special song?
Ksenia: Locked in the dream is a special song to me and I am very emotionally connected to it. Its a song about a toxic relationship that is very hard to get out of. Â I feel that the way a song is written, produced and performed tell the the story. Â I hope when people hear this song that they can relate.
Review Fix: How do you want it to be remembered?
Ksenia: Honestly, i want people to realize that if they are ever in a bad relationship that they should get out as soon as possible and keep that person locked in the dream.. I want this song to be remembered as an empowering message to run.
Review Fix: What was it like to work with Mario Marchetti?
Ksenia: Working with Mario was a wonderful experience! He is so talented and intuitive. He has great taste in music and I feel very lucky to have worked with him.
Review Fix: What’s your biggest weakness as a performer and how are you working on making it a strength?
Ksenia: As a performer i get pretty nervous, i don’t know why, but when the initial nervousness goes away i am able transform and put on a great show.
Review Fix: What’s next?
Ksenia: I am getting ready to shoot my music video for the locked in the dream and working on new music. I am also prepping to shoot a feature film “this much” that I co wrote, am staring in and co-producing.
