Away from great promo work from Paul Heyman and some quality in-ring work from Seth Rollins, TJ Perkins and Chris Jericho, this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW was an attempt to set up the card for Hell in a Cell, but thanks to a card littered with squash matches, it was more passable than anything else.
Matches:
Cesar w/Sheamus vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston w/WWE Tag Team Champion Big E. Langston and Xavier Woods: Sheamus was too busy on Facebook Live and because Cesaro was distracted, Kingston got the win with a Rollup.
Bailey vs. Cami Fields: A squash as Bayley won with the Belly-To-Belly. After the match, Brooke took out Bayley on the ramp.
Sin Cara and Lince Dorado vs. Drew Gulak and Tony Nese: This was a quick one, but an enjoyable encounter as Cara showed power and Dorado won with the Shooting Star Press.
Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas vs. Colin Cassady and Enzo Amore: Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson decimated Amore and Cassady with the Boot of Doom and the Magic Killer before the match started.
Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas vs. Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn: Zayn took out Axel with the Helluva Kick and Neville finished him off with the Red Arrow and Dallas left in disgust.
R-Truth w/Goldust vs. Titus O’Neil: After Goldust distracted O’Neil, Truth stole a win with a School Boy.
Braun Strowman vs. Steven and Clay Splash: Another squash as Strowman destroyed the indie team with a Running Powerslam and the Reverse Chokeslam.
United States Champion Roman Reigns and WWE RAW Women’s Champion Sasha Banks vs. Rusev w/Lana and Charlotte Flair: A decent match that saw Reigns and Rusev cancel themselves out and Banks earning the win over Flair with the Bank Statement after Reigns Speared Rusev.
WWE Cruiserweight Champion TJ Perkins vs. Ariya Daivari: After Daivari missed the Frog Splash, TJP Locked in the Knee Bar for the win. After the match, Brian Kendrick, who was ringside, stood up and made sure Perkins saw him.
Chris Jericho vs. Seth Rollins: A fun match that saw Rollins get the Rollup victory on Jericho in a nice counter of The Walls of Jericho, in spite of interference from Kevin Owens. After the match, Rollins hit Jericho with the Pedigree as Owens walked away from his “best friend†again.
