Away from a solid main event, this was a passable episode of 205 Live that did little make the Cruiserweight Division and its stars more appealing than they were before. With a lack of great in-ring action, the WWE has to be careful that they don’t water down the product further.
Matches:
Cedric Alexander w/Alicia Fox vs. Tony Nese w/Drew Gulak: After Alicia Fox got thrown out of the match and distracted Alexander, Nese hit a beautiful Palm Strike for the win.
Mustafa Ali vs. John Yurnet: Ali got the win with a nice Floatover DDT and an Inverted 450.
Gentleman’s Duel: Ariya Daivari vs. Jack Gallagher: Daivari “forfeited†and lost the unusual segment. The crowd checked out first.
WWE Cruiserweight Championship Rich Swann vs. Adrian Neville: Swann hit the Rich Kick, a Double Underhook Powerbomb and Phoenix 450 on the outside and the Fantastic Voyage- and still couldn’t put Neville away. Using strikes more and less flashy offense, Neville worked as a heel and worked on Swann’s back throughout. After he knocked Swan off the top rope, Neville got the win with the Superplex. After the match, Neville hit the German Suplex on Swann nailed him with strikes.
