Review Fix chats with singer/songwriter Chetti, who discusses her musical growth since her 2014 EP and what she’s up to now.
Review Fix: How has your sound evolved since your first EP?
Chetti: There’s a growth, an evolution that you hear both sonically and lyrically. When I released my first EP, I was 22 and just getting started in the business. You hear that lyrically. With Gave You All Of Me and Skeemer, you hear a more seasoned woman. A woman that’s been through things, that continues to grow. Genre has also evolved with me as I age. What’s great about the business right now is that Genre-Bending has become so common- and though I feel like I’m still in the Pop Realm, I’m expanding my wings.

Review Fix: Why should someone listen to your recent string of singles?
Chetti: The recent string of singles all differ, so if you’re into emotional pop ballads, pop-funk feel good dance tracks, chainsmokers pop or reggaeton/pop dance – you’ll find it all with me.

Review Fix: Which one of your recent tracks has the best story behind it?
Chetti: As an artist story has been and will always be so important to me- so they all have a strong story. The most deep story for me is Gave You All of Me. I was at a low that I’ve never been at before when I wrote this song- and it brought a sense of vulnerability that I’d never shown before in my music.
Review Fix: How do you want them to affect people?
Chetti: I want my music to touch the soul. Every person walks a different path in their lives, but were all human- we’ve all been hurt- we’ve all been happy- we’ve all been in love. I can only give you my experiences, and with hope people can resonate and it can heal.

Review Fix: What’s next?
Chetti: I’m going to be playing shows in NYC, continue to collaborate with different artists, hone my craft and grow.

Review Fix: Anything else you’d like to add?
Chetti: I love to hear from people that listen to my music. Tell me what you guys think. Did it help you, does it make you happy? It’s so unbelievably rewarding to hear.
