Away from the awful announcer feud and the debacle between Bruce Pritchard and Magnus, this week’s Impact Wrestling was solid as LAX, Ethan Carter III and Low-Ki made sure the show was worth a watch.
Kongo Kong w/Laurel Van Ness vs. Braxton Sutter w/Allie: What? Sutter got squashed with a modified Michinoku Driver? And to make things worse, Mahabali Shera is now in this mess of angle.
Ethan Carter III vs. ‘The Cowboy’ James Storm: This was a mess. Thank you, Bruce Pritchard. He’s just awful on air. He killed this matches momentum and with the new main event for Slammiversary, it’s at the point where EC3 and Storm can’t even save it. Why is Magnus involved now? In the words of South Park’s Johnny Cochran- “It just doesn’t make sense.” The ending of the match didn’t make any sense either as Storm won via DQ after Carter took out the ref after he was clearly dominating Storm.
GFW Women’s Champion Sienna vs. ODB: Sienna won pretty quickly with The Silencer.
Ultimate X Match For The X-Division Title: X-Division Champion Low-Ki vs. Andrew Everett vs Trevor Lee w/Shane Helms: A wild match that Lee dominated but Low-Ki won, even with an injured hand. One of the best X-Division matches in months, Ki is slowly making the Division relevant again.
