Away from a ton of filler, the drama between LAX, Alberto El Patron and Bobby Lashley was solid, while mid-card drama with Moose and Ethan Carter III added necessary depth. An awesome exhibition by ACH and comedy from Grado balanced everything out. Regardless, GFW still has work to do.
Matches:
Super X Cup Tournament: ACH vs. Andrew Everett: Tons of back and forth with counters, spots and strikes. ACH won with the Buster Call. Brainbuster variation.
Demus vs. Octagoncito: Lots of counters in a fun, but meaningless match. Octagoncito win with an Arm Drag that transitioned into a Victory Roll.
Impact Grand Champion Moose vs. Naomichi Marufuji: After the first two rounds were split, Ethan Carter III got involved, which gave Marufuji the win via DQ.
Trevor Lee vs. William Weeks: Lee got the squash win with the Running Double Stomp. After the bell, X-Division Champ Sonjay Dutt hit the ring but couldn’t get his title back.
Ava Storie vs. Laurel Van Ness: Van Ness won the spirited contest with the Blackout. After the bell, Grade asked to marry Van Ness, but Kongo Kong hit the ring.
GFW/TNA Unified Champion Alberto El Patron and Bobby Lashley vs. GFW/TNA Unified Tag Team Champions: LAX Ortiz and Santana w/Homicide, Konnan and Diamante: Lots of cool spots from the Tag Team Champions and plenty of interference, but Lashley and El Patron win with a Neckbreaker/Double Stomp combo. After the bell LAX beats on Patron while Lashley watches.
