Review Fix Exclusive: Inside Gamevice

Review Fix chats with Fraser Townley, president of Gamevice, who discusses the unique iOS game controller that will change the way you play your favorite games on your iPad and iPhone.

Review Fix: What was the inspiration behind this product?

Fraser Townley: We knew that two-thirds of all tablet usage was gaming so we approached Apple with a prototype of the iPad Gamevice. It was their enthusiasm that encouraged us to make the iPhone Gamevice.

Review Fix: There are similar controllers (with dual analog, trigger and similar button placement) on the market now. Why does this one stand out?

Townley: There are no controllers that are Lightning connected which virtually eliminates latency and totally eliminates the need to pair the devices.

Review Fix: What games does it work best with?

Townley: Assassins Creed Identity, Minecraft, any GTA, FIFA, NBA2K, Marvel Contest of Champions, Retro games like Tomb Raider II, Max Payne and Sonic.

Review Fix: What do you think is the controller’s best feature?

Townley: Gamevice Live companion app and the build quality.

Review Fix: Bottom line, why should someone purchase this product?

Townley: The customers who have already bought Gamevice tell us that the reason they did was because it was a lower cost to try console games. FIFA 16 is free on Gamevice Live whereas it carries a $60 price tag for Xbox. We admit this is not the full game but it is enough of the game to get you the full experience anytime, anywhere.

Review Fix: What’s next?

Townley: Let’s sell what’s on the truck.
