Eight matches and plenty of promo should have made for a great episode of RAW, but away from Brawn Strowman’s dominance and an Asuka vignette, this RAW was nothing but mediocre.
Matches:
Jason Jordan vs. Roman Reigns: Jordan fought hard and locked in the Crossface at one point and made sure he wasn’t squashed. Jordan even hit Reigns with a pair of Northern Lights Suplexes that almost put Reigns away. Reigns eventually fought back and won however with the Superman Punch and Spear.
Sasha Banks vs. Emma: There was more action outside the ring as Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss were at the announce table. Banks won with the Bank Statement.
Bray Wyatt vs. Goldust: Wyatt got the quick win with the Sister Abigail. After the match, Wyatt removed Goldust’s face paint before Finn Balor hit the ring.
Sheamus and Cesaro vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson: This match never happened as Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins attacked Sheamus and Cesaro. Soon enough Gallows and Anderson got involved too.
Elias Sampson vs. Kalisto: Sampson got the win with his Neckbreaker variation, but Kalisto used the Tornado DDT and strikes to make it a competitive encounter.
John Cena vs. Braun Strowman: Cena more than held his own and hit the Attitude Adjustment, but Strowman nailed him with a Powerslam on the ring steps to get the match thrown out.
Enzo Amore vs. Intercontinental Champion The Miz w/Maryse, Bo Dallas, and Curtis Axel: The match got thrown out after the Miz’s pals beat on Enzo. After it was over, Miz hit the Skull-Crushing Finale on Enzo.
WWE RAW Tag Team Champions: Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose and Matt and Jeff Hardy vs. Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Sheamus and Cesaro: Sheamus and Cesaro basically fed Anderson and Gallows to the wolves, as the Hardy’s and Ambrose and Rollins went finisher heavy and covered Anderson for the win.
