Top Team’s decimation of Stefan Bonner and Moose is just the beginning of a Bound For Glory card that may be one of the best in GFW’s short history. With five solid matches and plenty of storyline intrigue, GFW got it done on Impact this week.
Matches:
Johnny Impact vs. Chris Adonis: Impact won with the Countdown to Impact in your typical “Heel beats up face, before face makes comeback†match. It was fun, but nothing unexpected. After the match, Eli Drake got some shots in but Garza Jr. made the save.
James Storm vs. Eddie Edwards vs. El Hijo El Fantasma vs. Texano vs. Ethan Carter III: A wild five-way with plenty of spots. Texaco got the win thanks to some crafty cover work.
Dezmond Xavier vs. Andrew Everett w/Trevor Lee and Caleb Konley: Xavier was able to escape the numbers game and win with the modified Pele Kick.
GFW Tag Team Champions: oVe: Jake and Dave vs Black Diamond and Black Danger: Not exactly a squash, but Jake and Dave were never in trouble, getting the win with the Tombstone/Stomp variation.
GFW Women’s Champion Rosemary vs. Taya Valkyrie: Lots of wild offense here. Ironically it ended without a finisher as Taya rolled through a Northern Lights and hit the Stomp for the win. After the match, Valkyrie went for her finish, but Rosemary hit the Mist.
