Hell’s Kitchen All-Stars Episode 7 Recap

Master chef Gordon Ramsay has taken the kid gloves off and is now getting serious in an all-new episode of “Hell’s Kitchen All-Stars.” The drama this season is about to go nuts.

This episode, the chefs were greeted with six domes that had six items from the “Hell’s Kitchen” menu (beef Wellington, salmon, pork chop, rack of lamb, halibut and duck breast.) The day’s challenge was for each team to cook these six familiar menu items and the team who came the closest won the challenge. You know these chefs are failing horribly when they have to cook the regular menu items for a challenge.

Halfway through the challenge, Ramsay told each team to choose a member of their team who would be kicked out. The Red chose Barbie (after lots of arguing) and the Blue chose Van. Later, they had to choose another (Dana and Robyn) and then another and another. They all went back with three minutes left.

This was basically a lesson in communication. A hardcore lesson in communication. Besides Dana’s pork being raw, both teams lamb being subpar and Jennifer’s shrimp being overcooked besides her salmon being perfect, both teams got points with the Blue winning. Their reward was rock climbing and lunch at “Bourbon Steak.” The last thing the audience needed to see was Milly’s drawers. In fact, he didn’t even climb that far when everyone else did.

The Red had to clean up the dining room and kitchen under the supervision of Marino. Fans of this show know how extreme Marino is when it comes to how clean he wants the dining room. Of course, Elise was going slow and started with the other chefs. It’s starting to become grating.

Later that night, Ramsay called the chefs down to show them how to make his signature oyster and tagliatelle dish. That meant that half the chefs had to duplicate that dish and the loser went home that night. The chefs choosing who would cook were Michelle and Nick. Nick chose Robyn, Giovanni and Milly. Michelle chose Barbie, Manda and Elise. This is the first time in a while Ramsay has done this. It was an entertaining elimination to watch. You could cut the tension with a knife.

During tasting, Milly couldn’t figure what was missing when Ramsay asked him. Turned out Milly had five oysters instead of six. That was a dumb move, Milly. He was safe, though. Also, Elise was crying because she felt she did not belong in the challenge. Sadly, for all, despite her oysters being too salty, hers was better than Robyn’s since two of Robyn’s oysters were shredded. Luckily, she did better than Giovanni who was eliminated.

Looks like viewers will have to deal with Elise’s crap for another episode. If only Robyn and Giovanni did better she would be gone. Oh well, in Season Nine we had to deal with Elise up until the semi-finals. Next episode’s preview shows Elise going up to eleven, meaning this season will get a lot more interesting.
