Hell’s Kitchen All-Stars Episode 12 Recap

The final seven chefs battle it out for the coveted black jackets in this week’s episode of “Hell’s Kitchen Al-Stars.” If you hate Elise, this episode would make your day with how much she struggled.

This episode started with the weirdest visual aid on how in cooking, like any profession, requires talent and great work ethic: two magicians whose entire bit is the female getting covered by a large cover and coming out instantly with a different outfit. It’s a great trick, but it’s a bit weird.

Anyway, this episode had the chefs competing in three challenges. The first two challenges had the top two chefs getting black jackets. The first challenge is the “Hell’s Kitchen” classic “Taste It, Now Make It.” This time, the dish had SIXTEEN ingredients! Ramsay sure went all out with this one. The line of the episode was, Ramsay (to Elise) “Describe the dish, please.” Elise: “I’m sorry?” She had trouble remembering what she put into her dish.

In the end, Milly was the first to get a black jacket, followed by Nick. The second challenge had the chefs grabbing an ingredient under a dome. Every few minutes, Ramsay rang a bell where he’d lift the lid on another dome with ingredients. There were five domes altogether. Of course, there was a ton of bushing and one ingredient even got knocked on the floor.

The next two to get black jackets were Michelle and Benjamin. The final challenge had the chefs cook whatever they wanted. Of course, this had to be something super special. One new thing in the “Black Jacket Lounge” was that the chefs were able to watch the final challenge. This gave us a ton of criticism from the black jacket chefs.

Robyn started with halibut, but changed to lamb, Jennifer made scallops and shrimp and Elise made filet mignon. The first one to get eliminated was Elise. And there was much celebrating. The final black jacket was awarded to Robyn.

Once again, Elise is gone. The most hated “Hell’s Kitchen” contestant once again proved she wasn’t good enough to win. These final five have proven to be worthy of black jackets. Now, the real fun begins. These next few episodes are going to be intense.
