Braun Strowman’s “firing†made for a wild night of RAW, but even at that, the show couldn’t hide its weaknesses. The awful booking in the Tag Team, Women’s and Cruiserweight Divisions continued and the mentions of the Mixed Match Challenge nonsense didn’t make anything better.
Not even an appearance from The Club could make it better. Thankfully, there’s no way they can mess up the fun of RAW’s 25th Anniversary show next week.
Matches:
The Bar: Sheamus and Cesaro vs. Titus O’Neil and Apollo Crews w/Dana Brooke: Sheamus and Cesaro looked prime to get the victory, but Jason Jordan’s appearance on the ramp allowed Titus Worldwide to pick up another surprise win.
Cedric Alexander w/Goldust vs. Tony Nese w/Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore: A spirited match that could have gone either way. Alexander got the win with the Lumbar Check after a counter of the Pump-Handle Slam.
Asuka vs. Nia Jax: This was a war that saw Asuka win after Jax was unable to continue after Asuka took out her leg on the outside. However, Jax never gave up and this feud will surely continue in the future.
The Revival: Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder vs. Ricky Starks and Aaron Solo: A squash as The Revival won with the Shatter Machine over the debuting tag team.
Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel w/The Miz vs. Intercontinental Champion Roman Reigns: Interference from The Miz wasn’t enough as Reigns beat Axel with the Spear.
Sasha Banks w/Mickie James and Bayley vs. Sonya Deville w/Paige and Mandy Rose: A bore that saw Deville win with a Kick to Banks’ chest as The Boss attempted a top rope maneuverer.
Matt Hardy vs. Heath Slater w/Rhyno: The Woken Warrior got the squash win with the Twist of Fate.
WWE Tag Team Champion Seth Rollins w/WWE Tag Team Champion Jason Jordan vs. Finn Balor w/Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson: Balor worked on Rollins’ knee throughout, but The King Slayer nearly won on several occasions thanks to trademark strikes and the Falcon Arrow. Soon enough, The Bar hit the ring and while Balor took them out on the outside, Jordan interfered and allowed Rollins to win with a dangerous version of the Curb Stomp. After the match, Balor looked legitimately injured.
